Stewart Moore, CEO, Director
Stewart has a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning (Honours) from The University of Queensland, a Masters Degree in Regional Science specialising in Tourism Planning and Sustainability and a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.
Stewart has over twenty-five years of experience in tourism operations and consulting to the private and public sector both within Australian and the Asia Pacific region. Stewart has well recognised capabilities in the areas project management and formulation, product development, tourism marketing, strategic planning and sustainability management. He is chairman of the National Centre for Studies in Travel and Tourism and is a fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia and the Australian Tourism Research Institute. Stewart was also a member of the Tourism Forecasting Council for 10 years and recently project managed the consultations and research process for the Queensland Tourism Strategy. He has authored a wide range of books and publications in the areas destination management, risk and crisis management and regional planning.
Harry Fowles, CFO
Harry is an experienced FCPA who has had more than 30 years experience in Corporate Accounting, Finance, Business Systems, Logistics, Change Management and General Management.
He has worked in a wide range of industries in both New Zealand and Australia and joined EarthCheck at the end of 2011, as the company's CFO.
André Russ, VP Sales
With more than 15 years experience in the hospitality industry in both Business Development and Operations, André is responsible for the widespread sales and adoption of the EarthCheck platform through luxury niche & multi-brand portfolio operations, hotel developments and CSR teams.
Andre holds a Swiss Hotel Association Advanced Diploma of International Hotel Management, a Diplôme de Culinare from Le Cordon Bleu Paris and was awarded the Pernod Ricard Scholarship for Excellence. Melinda Watt, VP Relationship Management & Chief Scientist, Director
A scientist by profession, Melinda has been involved in the evolution and application of EarthCheck's benchmarking indicators and standards for more than a decade. She is part of the market access working group for the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and this sees her working closely with other sustainability leaders internationally.
A major part of Melinda's role involves liaising with the EarthCheck Research Institute's global base of universities. In this capacity Melinda ensures EarthCheck's science leverages the most credible, relevant and timely research findings.
Melinda also oversees a passionate team of Relationship Managers who help Members to implement world best practice solutions in sustainable operations and design. She holds a Bachelors of Science from the University of Newcastle. Contact Melinda
Mark Olsen, GM Consulting
Mark has over fifteen years experience in tourism and destination management including eight years at Tourism Queensland in a variety of roles including Regional Director for Brisbane and South East Queensland Country. Through his career Mark has worked extensively with the tourism industry at various levels and has well recognised skills and experience in the areas of project facilitation, master planning project feasibility, strategic planning, policy development, tourism marketing, industry consultation, investment facilitation and project management.
Mark has a degree in Tourism from James Cook University, with Honours focusing on Environmental Tourism and Community Engagement. Contact Mark
Darren Langley, Software Development Manager
Darren Langley leads software development and technology innovation at EarthCheck. He has more than 9 years of experience in software development.
